Rural Justice Tour for Abundant Life
Planned November 2-20, 2005
Agricultural Missions,
Inc, together with the Presbyterian Church USA Hunger Program and the
Beehive Collective is planning the 4th Rural Justice Abundant Life Tour for
this November 2-18, 2005. Speakers from farmer and labor organizations from
Latin America, U.S. farmers and farm workers will be accompanied by the
Beehive Collective with their graphics campaign aimed at reaching youth and
church audiences, in particular, and focusing on the impacts of free trade
agreements like NAFTA and the proposed CAFTA and Free Trade Andean
agreements, Plan Puebla Panama and its South American counterpart IIRSA, and
a new policy proposal for the next farm bill in the U.S. This tour will
cross in two streams through the Northeast, and Midwest and converge on the
Southeast U.S. ending at the School of the Americas Vigil at Ft. Benning,
